Morshead Mansions is fortunate to be surrounded by a wealth of local amenities in the Maida Vale area. A few minutes’ walk along Elgin Avenue is the historic Lesley Green designed tube station, on the opposite corner is Gail’s Bakery and the local Starbucks. Along the parade of shops are more cafes, a Thai restaurant, The Elgin pub, the local chemist, newsagents, grocery shops, a flower shop and a host of local estate agents.
Closer to home at the end of the street is another flower shop, Le Cochonnet restaurant, a newsagent plus a selection of cafes and deli’s.
Paddington Recreation Ground
Morshead Mansions is blessed to be sited across the street from the diverse Paddington Recreation Ground, a much-loved sports and recreation site which boasts tennis courts, football pitches, a cricket green, running track, bowling green and indoor gymnasium, as well as a bandstand, cafeteria, secluded gardens and dedicated dog walking areas.
